The Puerh bar is made with 5 year old Ban Zhang (班章) tea leaves. Ban Zhang is the name of a small town in the famous puerh tea producing region of Xi Shuang Ban Na (西双版纳) . Xi Shuang Ban Na is filled with famous tea producing mountains. Ban Zhang is located on the mountain called Bu Lang and inhabited by the Blang ethnic group (布朗族). The Blang ethnic group are direct descendants of the ancient Pu (濮) ethnic group from the Shang dynasty of China. The ancient Pu people were the earliest ancestors of Yunnan tea and the first to cultivate, produce and drink tea!
The Puerh bar is shaped like a chocolate bar. All you need to do is break off a piece and put it in your brewing vessel and your ready to go!
